Meet the CRHS Administration
Brooke French, Principal
My educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities and a Masters in Teaching degree with endorsements in ELA, History and French. As a National Board ELA high school teacher, I taught in a rural setting for 12 years. I taught intervention to college classes. I then earned my Administration Certificate from Whitworth University and began my administrative career. I have worked with a population of students from 325-1100. I have been a Director of Teaching and Learning, Dual-Language Elementary Interim Principal, Middle School Principal, and a High School Principal. My family and I moved to Castle Rock in 2019 and love the beauty and the feeling of community in the area. It truly is the “hidden gem” off of I-5. I am proud to be called a Rocket!
My Why
I have a life-long love of learning and advocating for others. This led to my career in education so I could empower staff and students through leadership and organization to create an equitable culture and community. I want students to have a voice in their education and in their future.
Ryan Henton, Assistant Principal
I grew up in a small rural community that had miles and miles of vineyards. Growing up in a small community helped shape my values and guided my desire to give back to the community. I have spent 14 years as a middle & high school classroom teacher. I have taught everything from 6th Grade Intervention ELA to 12th Grade AP Literature. I love teaching, building relationships with students, and seeing that learning lightbulb flip on over my student’s head. Recently, I have wanted to expand experience and influence in education. So, like every other educator, I went back to school. In 2021 I eanred a Master’s in Education and an Administration Certificate from the University of Washington. Now, I am at Castle Rock High School eager and ready to start building those relationships with your students. Go Rockets!
My Why
I love reading. I am an avid reader. It’s a passion that my wife and I both share. As I entered college I asked myself, “what do I want to do with my life?” The Answer: I want to ignite the passion of reading and the written word in the next generation. As I’ve learned and grown, I’ve wanted to ignite that passion not just in reading, but in education in general – which is why I became an administrator.
